About Eliana

I was born in the Mississippi and grew up in Worcestershire and Hong Kong.  I then went to Arts University Bournemouth to study for my BA Hons in Costume Making.  It was whilst at AUB that my interest in millinery began.  I have a particular passion for historical millinery.  In the final year of my degree course, I had the opportunity to make a selection of hats using, straw, felt, buckram and tulle. Some of these were used in stage productions.  Others were commissions for photo shoots. The majority were made just to be worn and enjoyed. There is even a tiny one in the Thomas Hardy exhibit at Wessex Museum.   I enjoy doing copious research into various historical decades, as it is from history that I take most of my inspiration.
