Straw Hats
Straw is such a wonderful natural material. A straw hat can either be hand coiled from a braid or a straw hood can be blocked and shaped with steam. I really enjoy blocking a hood but I find hand stitching a straw braid to form a hat to be an almost meditative experience. Three of the straw hats displayed here were hand built.
